Answer:

Question 19: 6

Question 20: 100

Step-by-step explanation:

Question 19: If you multiply 1/3, 1/6, and 5 1/6 you end up with only whole numbers; no fractions.

Question 20: This is easy, just move the decimal point over two digits by multiplying by 100.

I'd use 6 because after you multiply everything by 6 the fractions reduce to a whole number.

The Maxair amusement park ride consists of a circular ring that holds 50 riders. Suppose that the center of the ride is at the o
Trava [24]

The approximation of the circumference of the ride is 138 feet to the nearest foot

How to determine the circumference?

The given parameters are:

 • Center (a,b) = (0,0) i.e. the origin
 • A circular ring, (x,y) = (16,15.1)

The radius is calculated using:

r = \sqrt{(x - a)^2 + (y -b)^2}

So, we have:

r = \sqrt{(16 - 0)^2 + (15.1 -0)^2}

Evaluate

r = √484.01

Evaluate the square root

r = 22.0

The circumference is calculated using

C = 2πr

So, we have:

C = 2π * 22.0

Evaluate

C = 138

Hence, the approximation of the circumference of the ride to the nearest foot is 138 feet

A 3-mi cab ride costs $3.00. A 6-mi cab ride costs $4.80. Find a linear equation that models cost c as a function of distance d.
Galina-37 [17]
The slsope of the graph of the line = 4.8 - 3 / 6-3 = 0.6
so we can write the equation as

c = 0.6d + b where b is some constant

When d = 3 c = 3 so we have

3 = 0.6* 3 + b

giving b = 3 - 1.8 = 1.2

Therefore the required linear equation is

c = 0.6d + 1.2

Which of the following is equal to sqrt(16 * 4) ?
Alexus [3.1K]

8

Step-by-step explanation:

This can be solved in two (2) ways;

Multiply 16 and 4 to get 64. Then;

sqrt (64)

= 8

OR

sqrt (16 * 4)

=

sqrt (16) * sqrt (4)

= 4 * 2

= 8

Paolo and Monika are both travelling by train.
Sauron [17]

Answer:

32 km/hr

Step-by-step explanation:

Firstly, you need to find the speed of both trains in km/hr.

Paolo's train= (70km x 60hr)/35= 120 km/hr

Monika's train= 684km/4.5hr= 152 km/hr

Then find the difference in speed:

152-120=32 km/hr
