In a family there are five sons. The oldest son is 11 3/4 years old, and every next younger brother is younger than the next by

2 7/12 years. How old is the youngest brother? In how many years would another son be born if this rule still applies? Can you give the answer in years and months?

Answer:

the youngest brother is of 2 years and 5 months

if this rule still applies, the next son will be born in 2 months.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Oldest son= 11 3/4 years old = 11 years 3/4 (12) months = 11 years 9 months

Difference = 2 years 7/12(12) months = 2 years 7 moths

So for finding the age of youngest brother:

Subtract the difference others from age of oldest:

= 11 years 9 months - 4(2 years 7 months)

= 11 years 9 months - 9 years 4 months

= 2 years 5 months

So the youngest brother is of 2 years and 5 months

if this rule still applies, the next son will be born in 2 months.

i hope it will help you!

Answer:

im pretty sure this is correct: the youngest brother is 1 year and 5 months, and another son will be born in 1 year and 2 months

Step-by-step explanation:

welp

Im bad at explaining but:

Part 1

a-oldest = x = 11 3/4

b- x-2 7/12

c- x-2(7/12)

d - x-3(7/12)

e - x-4(7/12) = 1 5/12

Part 2

1 5/12 - 2 7/12 = 1 1/6 aka 1 year and 2months

What is the factored form of 8x2 + 12x? 4(4x2 + 8x) 4x(2x + 3) 8x(x + 4) 8x(x2 + 4)
earnstyle [38]
So I'm guessing that the x2 is your way of saying 2 is the exponent right? In that case the equation would be 8x^2 + 12x
Well you would have to pull out the gcf which in this case will be 4x after pulling out the gcf you should get 4x(2x + 3)
