<h3><u>Answer</u>;</h3>

= 2.227 × 10^21 atoms

<h3><u>Explanation</u>;</h3>

0.134 g of Cl

1 mole of Cl atom = 35.5 g

Moles of Cl = 0.134 g/35.5 g

                   = 0.003775 Moles

But; 1 mole = 6.02 × 10^23 atoms

Number of Cl atoms;

= 6.02 × 10^23 × 0.003775

<u>= 2.227 × 10^21 atoms</u>

Why is there a threshold in response to some toxins?
Vedmedyk [2.9K]
Everything is deadly at a certain amount. Sometimes you accidently incest a small amount of something that's toxic, but it doesn't really do any harm because of how little it is. The body just gets rid of it during the its normal biological processes.

There's a certain amount of the toxin that you have to reach before the body begins to really feel it's effects and begin to get rid of it (vomiting, clamminess, all that jazz).

Of course it depends on the substance in question, some things are way more dangerous in much less amounts than others (e.g. ricin vs. poinsettia flowers).

Hope this helps!

Please help!!!! Chem question
loris [4]

Answer : The net ionic equation will be,

Ba^{2+}(aq)+SO_4^{2-}(aq)\rightarrow BaSO_4(s)

Explanation :

In the net ionic equations, we are not include the spectator ions in the equations.

Spectator ions : The ions present on reactant and product side which do not participate in a reactions. The same ions present on both the sides.

The given balanced ionic equation will be,

Ba(OH)_2(aq)+H_2SO_4(aq)\rightarrow 2H_2O(aq)+BaSO_4(s)

The ionic equation in separated aqueous solution will be,

Ba^{2+}(aq)+2OH^-(aq)+2H^{+}(aq)+SO_4^{2-}(aq)\rightarrow BaSO_4(s)+2H^+(aq)+2OH^{-}(aq)

In this equation, H^+\text{ and }OH^- are the spectator ions.

By removing the spectator ions from the balanced ionic equation, we get the net ionic equation.

The net ionic equation will be,

Ba^{2+}(aq)+SO_4^{2-}(aq)\rightarrow BaSO_4(s)
