The ionic equation in separated aqueous solution will be,

Ba^{2+}(aq)+2OH^-(aq)+2H^{+}(aq)+SO_4^{2-}(aq)\rightarrow BaSO_4(s)+2H^+(aq)+2OH^{-}(aq)

In this equation, H^+\text{ and }OH^- are the spectator ions.

By removing the spectator ions from the balanced ionic equation, we get the net ionic equation.

The net ionic equation will be,

Ba^{2+}(aq)+SO_4^{2-}(aq)\rightarrow BaSO_4(s)

Difference in volume will give volume of metal ingot.

v' = v - V

v'=19.73 cm^3-18.08 cm^3=

v'=1.65 cm^3

Since volume cannot be in negative .

Density of the metal =d'

=d'=\frac{M'}{v'}=\frac{9.5 g}{1.65 cm^3}=5.758 g/cm^3
