Hey there!

1.) The correct answer would be none since when lines are parallel to each other in a system of equations, there is no point of intersection, meaning there are no solutions.

2.) The correct answer would be one solution because there is one point of intersection which would be the answer to the system.

3.) The correct answer would be infinitely many because this means that both equations graph to be the same line. This means that any value can be the answer and result with a valid answer.

4.) To start, first you must graph the two equations and find the point of intersection. When you graph each line, notice that both the lines intersect on  one point: (1,-2)
The red line is y=x-3
The blue line is y=-2x
Therefore, (1,-2) would be your answer.

5.) For this one, first convert both equations to slope intercept form, or y=mx+b.
To turn x+y=-2 in this form, subtract x from both sides to get y=-x-2
To turn y-2x=1 into this form, add -2x to both sides to get y=2x+1
Orange line is x+y=-2
Purple line is y-2x=1
Now, graph the two lines and you get (-1,-1) as your answer.

A 20 foot extension ladder liens against a building if the base of the latter is placed 6 feet from the base of the building wha
goldenfox [79]

For this problem, you're going to need to use trig. More specifically, you need to use the tangent function:

tan (value) = opposite/adjacent

tan 75 = opposite/8 (Here, the opposite side is the length of the ladder)

8 * tan 75 = opposite

29.8564065 = opposite

So, the ladder is 29.9 feet.

Point K is on line JL. given JL =4x, JK= 2x+3, and KL=x, determine the numerical length of kl
balandron [24]

Hi! I'm happy to help!

Our total line is JL (4x), and it is split into two parts: JK, and KL. We have our values, and we know that JK+KL=JL, so we can substitute our values and solve for x:

4x=(2x+3)+(x)

4x=3x+3

To solve for x, we have to isolate it on one side of the equation.

First, let's subtract 3x from both sides so that we can isolate x:

4x=3x+3

-3x -3x

x=3

<u>So, our x=3, which means that KL=3.</u>

I hope this was helpful, keep learning! :D

How many customer calls are represented by the data?
inn [45]
The answer is 12. You find this by counting all of the numbers to the right of the line (referred to as "leaves" in this stem-and-leaf plot)

What is the range of the function f(x)=(x-4)^2-5
uranmaximum [27]

f(x) = (x - 4)^2 - 5

Vertex (4 , -5)

This function opens upward and has min. value = -5

So range y >=  - 5

So answer is A. -5 <= f(x) < ∞
