R = Rate of gasoline by automobile = 35 mi/gal

it is given that , 1 kilometer = 0.6214 miles

and 1 gallon = 3.78 liter

so

R = 35 (miles/gallon) (1 kilometer/0.6214 miles) (1 gallon/3.78 liter)

R = (35) (1/0.6214) (1/3.78) (miles x 1 kilometer/1 miles) (1 gallon/(1 gallon x 1 liter))

R = 14.9 kilometer/liter

Answer: 14.9\text{km/l}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: An automobile uses gasoline at a rate of 35 mi/gal.

1\text{ kilometer}=0.6214 \text{ mi}\\\\\Rightarrow1\text{ mi}=\dfrac{1}{0.6214}\text{ km}\\\\\text{ gal}=3.78\text{ l}

Now, to convert the rate from mi/ gal to km/ l , we need to multiply it by the reciprocal of 0.6214 and divide 3.78 , we get

35 \text{mi/gal}=35\times\dfrac{1}{0.6214}\times\dfrac{1}{3.78}=14.9006425157\approx14.9\text{km/l}

An automobile uses gasoline at a rate of 35 mi/gal, which is the same as  14.9\text{km/l}.

An office administrator earns $16 an hour, and she works 48 hours a week. What is her weekly wage?
Dvinal [7]
If she works 48 hours per week and she earns 16 dollars per hour, we can find the weekly wage by multiplying 48 by 16. This gets us a weekly wage of $768 (Choice A).

A bag contains 5 red marbles, 4 blue marbles, 3 green marbles, and no other marbles. If a marble is chosen at random from the ba
MAXImum [283]

Answer:

A = choosing a red marble

B = choosing a green marble

Probability of A happening = P(A) = 5/(3+5+4) = 5/12

Probability of B happening = P(B) = 4/(3+5+4) = 4/12

Probability of either happening = P(A) + P(B) = 5/12 + 4/12 = 7/12

The key word in their question is red OR green and that is why we add the two probabilities. If they ask the probability of them both happening (if they said red AND green), you would multiply P(A)*P(B).

15 POINTS!!
Alexxx [7]
X^2 - 10x + 8 =0
x^2 - 10 + (-10/2)^2 - (-10/2)^2 + 8 = 0
(x - 5)^2 - 25 + 8 = 0
(x - 5)^2 - 17 = 0
To be honest , this is the final step for this equation. It seems like there is no any suitable answer for this question..
To me , I think the best answer will be the third option.
x - 5 =0
x = 5

2x-10 = 0
2x = 10
x = 5
I guess this answer seems like legit.. So I will choose the third option.
