Answer:

200 m/s^2

Explanation:

The acceleration of an object is calculated as

a=\frac{v-u}{t}

where

v is the final velocity

u is the initial velocity

t is the time taken for the velocity to change from u to v

For the rocket in this problem:

u = 0 (it starts from rest)

v = 440 m/s is the final velocity

t = 2.20 is the time taken

Substituting,

a=\frac{440-0}{2.20}=200 m/s^2

Which is greater:a force of 10N or a force of 5 lbs?
dexar [7]
Well of course firstly we  want to turn that 5lbs into a force using this equation:

Weight(N) = mass(kg) × gravity(m/s^2)

That equation is called the weight force equation. it is very important

The number you convert  for the  pounds to kilograms is 2.2 so to calcuate how many kg are in 5lbs you divide 5 by 2.2 to get 2.27kg

Then we multiply 2.27kg by 9.81m/s^2 to get 22.30N

So, now we know  that a force of 5lbs is greater than a force of 10N

Two in-phase loudspeakers that emit sound with the same frequency are placed along a wall and are separated by a distance of 2.4
NeX [460]

When person is observing destructive interference at 0.20 m distance from the equidistant position then we can say that path difference must be equal to half of the wavelength

now we will have

\frac{\lambda}{2} = \frac{yd}{L}

now we know that

y = 0.20 m

d = 2.4 m

L = 10 m

now here we have

\frac{\lambda}{2} = \frac{0.20\times 2.4}{10}

\lambda = 0.096 m

now frequency of wave is given as

f = \frac{v}{\lambda}

f = \frac{343}{0.096} = 3573 Hz

A flatbed truck is supported by its four drive wheels, and is moving with an acceleration of 7.4 m/s2. For what value of the coe
inn [45]

Answer:

The value is  \mu  = 0.76

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

    The  acceleration is a =  7.4 \ m /s^2

Generally the force by which the truck bed (truck) is moving with is mathematically represented as

          F  =  ma

Now for the truck cabinet to slip from the truck bed then the frictional force between the truck cabinet  is equal the force by which the the truck bed is moving with that is

        F_f  =  F

Here  F_f is the frictional force which is mathematically represented as

         F_f  =  \mu *  m *  g

substituting into above equation

         \mu *  m * g  =  ma

=>        \mu  =  \frac{a}{g}

substituting values

           \mu  =  \frac{ 7.4 }{ 9.8}

           \mu  = 0.76

The low-frequency speaker of a stereo set has a surface area of and produces 1W of acoustical power. What is the intensity at th
AlekseyPX

Answer:

      I =  \frac{1}{4\pi \ r^2}

we see the intensity decreases with the inverse of the distance squared

Explanation:

Intensity is defined as power per unit area,

           I = P / A

in this case we have that the sound is emitted in a spherical form therefore the area is

           A = 4 pi r2

therefore the intensity is

          I =  \frac{1}{4\pi \ r^2}

as we see the intensity decreases with the inverse of the distance squared
