f(t)=h=-16t^2+20t+6

a=-16, b=20, c =6

Δ=b^2-4ac=20^2-4*(-16)*6=400+384=784

\sqrt{Δ}=\sqrt{784}=28

max:

p=-\frac{b}{2a}=-\frac{20}{-32}=\frac{20}{32}=\frac{5}{8}

max heigh: h=-16(\frac{5}{8})^2+20*\frac{5}{8}+6=-16\frac{25}{64}+\frac{100}{8}+6

h=-\frac{25}{4}+\frac{50}{4}+6=\frac{-25+50+24}{4}=\frac{49}{4}

h=\frac{49}{4} at t=\frac{5}{8}s

will fall down at t:

t=\frac{-20-28}{-32}=\frac{-48}{-32}=\frac{3}{2}=1.5

t=1.5s

A spherical tank has a capacity of 800 gallons. Using the fact that 1 gallon is about 0.1337 ft3, find the radius of the tank (t
nydimaria [60]

Solution-

Capacity of the spherical tank = 800 gallons.

1 gallon = 0.1337 ft³,

Volume of 800 gallons = 800 × 0.1337 = 106.96 ft³

Formula for the volume of sphere

V =\frac{4\pi r^{3}}{3}

Equating both the volumes

⇒ \frac{4\pi r^{3}}{3} = 106.96

⇒ r^{3} = 25.53

⇒ r = \sqrt[3]{25.53}

⇒ r = 2.94

∴ Radius of the sphere is 2.94 ft

which digit can replace the? to make this number sentence true 736,554 < 7?6,573 < 736,589 only one answer
mars1129 [50]
You need 3 for ? to make this sentence true, because if you place 3 for ?, 736,554<736,573<736,589 makes sense. If you compare the three numbers, 736,554 is the smallest, then 736,573, and 736,587 is the biggest number.
