Y+2=-4(x+1)
-4 x + -4
Y+2=-4x +-4
-2. +-2
Y=-4x+ -6

This is as far as I can get you too. I don't remember what to do after. Ask your teacher for help tomorrow. I hope I helped!

So what you need to do is get the equation y+2= -4(x+1) into Ax+By= C form, and to do this, you just need to work with the problem a bit

First, you need to get rid of those parenthises. to do this, distribute the -4 into the x-1 to turn the equation into y+2= -4x-4

Next, you need to get the x and y to the same side of the equation, so add 4x to both sides of the equation to change the equation into 4x+y+2= -4

Finally, what you need to do is get all of the numbers without variables to the same side of the equation, which should be the right side in this example. So subtract 2 from both sides to end up with 4x+y= -6

Molly opened a bank account. She deposited $86.50 into her account every month for 20 months. She used $24.50 every month to pay
harkovskaia [24]
First, let's multiply 86.50 by 20 since she deposited $86.50 each month for 20 months.

86.50 * 20 = $1,730

Now, we have to divide this by 24.50 * 20 to find how much out of her $1,730 that she used on singing lessons.

24.50 * 20 = $490

Subtract how much she used for singing lessons from her total amount.

1,730 - 490 = $1,240

Finally, we multiply the amount she has left by 1/4 to find out how much she spent on her summer camp. We can also do this by multiplying 1,240 by 0.25 since 0.25 = 1/4.

1,240 * 0.25 = $310

So, Molly spent $310.00 on her summer camp.
Hope this helped!

How to solve the mindbender
Salsk061 [2.6K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

To get from the top square to the bottom square, multiply by - 3 So the middle position of the bottom square is - 30. If  you solve all of the top square, you can get the bottom square easily enough.

The diagonal of the top square adds to 13 + 10 + 7  = 30

The top line of the top square must add to 30 as well 13 + 11 + 6. Put 6 in the middle position.

The right hand vertical line must add to 30. 11 + 7 + 12 = 30

The middle row must add to 30. 10 + 12 + 8. 8 goes in the left position of the middle row.

Let's summarize what we have so far.

13  6   11

8   10  12

           7

We can fill in the last two spaces by adding to 30

13  6   11

8   10   12

9    14   7

That completes the top magic square.

To get the bottom magic square, multiply by  -3

- 39 - 18  -33

-24  -30  -36

-27  -42   -21
