<span>Answers:
(A) </span>Scale factor = 5/6 or 0.833
(B) Area ratio is 25:36
(C) Volume ratio is 125:216
(D) Volume of smaller pyramid = 9375m^3

<span>Explanation:
A) The formula for the scale factor for pyramids is:
Scale factor = Height of small pyramid/Height of large pyramid
</span>Scale factor <span>= 25/30
</span>Scale factor <span>= 5/6 or 0.833

B) </span><span> The ratio of the area of the base of the smaller pyramid to the larger pyramid = (25)^2/(30)^2 </span><span>
Hence area ratio is 25:36

C) </span><span>Ratio of the volume of the smaller pyramid to the larger = (25)^3/(30)^3
</span><span>
Therefore volume ratio is 125:216

D) Volume of smaller pyramid is 125/216 times the volume of the larger pyramid, from above,

Therefore volume of smaller pyramid=</span>125/216 * 16200 = 9375m^3

What is 9/16 + 1/2 simplified
trasher [3.6K]
\frac{9}{16} + \frac{1}{2}

First, find the least common denominator (LCD) of the two fractions.
Multiples of 16: 16
Multiples of 2: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16
The LCD is 16.
Second, make the denominators the same as the LCD. / Your problem should look like: \frac{9}{16} + \frac{1x8}{2x8}
Third, simplify. The denominators are now the same. / Your problem should look like: \frac{9}{16} + \frac{8}{16}
Fourth, join the denominators. / Your problem should look like: \frac{9+8}{16}
Fifth, simplify. / Your problem should look like: \frac{17}{16}
Sixth, convert to mixed fraction. / Your problem should look like: 1 \frac{1}{16}

Answer: 1\frac{1}{16}

Write an expression used to find 4x275 using mental math and properties of numbers
elena-s [515]
What I suggest is to round the numbers. 4 rounds up to 5. 275 would round up to 280 or 300 whatever is easier. your expression would be 5*280 or 5*300.
 I hope this helped  :)
