Well one way that you can use multiplication to estimate and solve division problems is that when you are dividing a smaller number or any number into another number for example... 12/324 you can multiply what times 12 equals 324. That or use a calculator if it is aloud I may add. Sometimes it is easier to do it that way then doing out all the horrible long steps making it harder to do.

Canadians who visit the United States often buy liquor and cigarettes, which are much cheaper in the United States. However, the
victus00 [196]

Answer:

Probability of bringing a bottle of liquor into the country that is, the probability of bringing 1 bottle liquor into the country = P(B) = 0.31

The probability of not bringing a bottle of liquor into the country, that is, the probability of bringing 0 bottle liquor into the country = P(B') = 0.69

Probability distribution of bottle liquor

Let X represent the random variable of the number of bottle liquor brought into the country by a person

X | P(X)

0 | 0.69

1 | 0.31

Step-by-step explanation:

The joint probability distribution for the number of bottles of liquor and the number of cartons of cigarettes imported by Canadians who have visited the United States for 2 or more days is given in the question as

V | B

C | 0 | 1

0 | 0.62 | 0.16

1 | 0.07 | 0.15

Note that B = bottle liquor

C = Carton cigarettes

V is each variable

Let the probability of bringing a bottle of liquor into the country be P(B), that is, the probability of bringing 1 bottle liquor into the country.

The probability of not bringing a bottle of liquor into the country is P(B'), that is, the probability of bringing 0 bottle liquor into the country.

Let the probability of bringing a carton of cigarettes into the country be P(C), that is, the probability of bringing 1 carton cigarettes into the country.

The probability of not bringing a carton of cigarettes into the country is P(C'), that is, the probability of bringing 0 carton cigarettes into the country.

From the joint probability table, we can tell that

P(B n C) = 0.15

P(B n C') = 0.16

P(B' n C) = 0.07

P(B' n C') = 0.62

Find the marginal probability distribution of the number of bottles imported.

Probability of bringing a bottle of liquor into the country that is, the probability of bringing 1 bottle liquor into the country = P(B)

P(B) = P(B n C) + P(B n C') = 0.15 + 0.16 = 0.31

The probability of not bringing a bottle of liquor into the country, that is, the probability of bringing 0 bottle liquor into the country = P(B')

P(B') = P(B' n C) + P(B' n C') = 0.07 + 0.62 = 0.69

Probability distribution of bottle liquor

Let X represent the random variable of the number of bottle liquor brought into the country by a person

X | P(X)

0 | 0.69

1 | 0.31

Hope this Helps!!!

The graph of the equation 2x-3y = 7 is a line. If a point on this line has an x-coordinate of 10, what
Vinil7 [7]

Answer:

y = 13/3

Step-by-step explanation:

First input 10 as our x into the equation. So our new equation is 2(10) - 3y=7.

Once you simplify your equation would be 20 - 3y = 7. Subtract 20 from both sides. New equation is -3y = -13. Divide each side by -3. Your answer for y is 13/3.

What is the diameter of a circle with the endpoints (4, 3) and (4, -3)?
Dahasolnce [82]

Given the endpoints of our diameter, we can use the distance formula to find the distance between the points.

Distance Formula:

\sqrt{(x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2

(x_2 and x_1 are the x-values of the coordinates and y_2 and y_1 are the y-values of the coordinates)

Inserting our values into the distance formula we can find the length of the diameter:

\sqrt{(4 - 4)^2 + (-3 - 3)^2}

\sqrt{(-6)^2}

\sqrt{36} = \boxed{6}

The diameter of our circle is 6, or choice C.
