The allele symbols on the outside of the punnett square represent the alleles in the gametes . Because when we done cross we got the gametes only . Example AABB X aabb , then we got the gametes AB and ab . This represent AB and ab are the alles of the gamete only . A allele is the alternative form of gene , if one is dominant other one is recessive.

Vascular plants exhibit alternation of generation. What is alternation of generation?
Crazy boy [7]
Alternation of generation is what happens in the asexual reproduction of vascular plants in their gametes, as haploid cells that came from their gametes, spores fertilizes another plant becomes a diploid cell in the process.

In terms of vascular plants, they help maintain the water cycle. The property of these plants enables them to carry out this function is their well-developed vascular system. These type of plants are more evolved and developed than nonvascular plants because of its specialized characteristics like xylem, which is a tissue that is responsible for its framework and not only that, it is also has a greater mechanism for water transference. Another is phloem, which is responsible for food conduction.

Michelle is looking at an organism that is eukaryotic and multicellular, and it also feeds on dead and decaying organisms. Which
lukranit [14]

Answer:

Fungi

Explanation:

Fungi (such as mushrooms) are eukaryotic and multicellular. They are decomposers, which means they feed on dead and decaying organisms. If the question was only asking for one that feeds on dead and decaying organisms, the answer could also be bacteria, for they are also decomposers, but bacteria are prokaryotes and unicellular.

What part of the body uses active transport to take up nutrients after concentration has reached equilibrium
jekas [21]

The villi of the small intestine use active transport to take up nutrients after concentration has reached equilibrium.

What is Active transport?

Active transport may be defined as the process that occurs against the concentration gradient and is mediated by carrier proteins. Metabolic energy is used to move ions or molecules against a concentration gradient.

During the process of digestion, the villi in the small intestine enthrall the soluble nutrients gradually. Over time, the concentration of nutrients in the villi acquires an equilibrium with the concentration in the gut. Until here, the nutrient uptake is carried by the process of passive diffusion.

But after attaining the equilibrium, the nutrient uptake is carried by the process of active transport.

The complete question is as follows:

What part of the body uses active transport to take up nutrients after concentration has reached equilibrium?

 • Lungs
 • Stomach
 • Small intestine
 • Liver

Therefore, the correct option for this question is C, i.e. small intestine.
