Two trains leave the station at the same time, one heading east and the other west. The eastbound train travels at miles 90 per

So the eastbound train travels at 90 miles per hour in the complete opposite direction to the westbound equivalent, which travels at 80 miles per hour. Therefore, per hour, they get 170 miles away from each other. Since we are working out how long it would take for them to be 204 miles apart:

204 / 170 = 1.2 Hours, or 1 hour and 12 minutes.

What is the probability of rolling a pair of dice and not rolling the same number?
Aleksandr [31]

Answer:

5/6

Step-by-step explanation:

The "first" dice can land on any number, so there are 6 choices. The "second" can not be the same number as the first one. So there are 5 choices. We multiply to get 6*5=30 ways to roll a different number. There are 6*6 total ways so the probability is 30/36 which simplifies to 5/6.

Fiesta28 [93]
The equation of the line is y=5/2x+5, because the line goes up 5 points and before intercepting another point, and over two because the it's over to the right two points when the point is crossed. The +5 is where the line intercepts the y-axis.
