When the reaction in a calorimeter causes the temperature of the surrounding water to decrease, this means that the energy is absorbed during the course of reaction from water. The reaction is endothermic as it proceeded via the absorption of energy from the surrounding water present in the calorimeter. So, the energy(enthalpy) of products will be higher than the energy(enthalpy) of reactants.

How many moles Of H2O will be produced from 42.0 g of H2O2?
d1i1m1o1n [39]
Molar{Mass} H_{2}O_{2} =2*16.0+2*1.0= 34.0 g/mol

42.0 g H_{2}O_{2}* \frac{1 mol H_{2}O_{2}}{34.0 g H_{2}O_{2}} = 1.24 mol H_{2}O_{2}

2H_{2}O_{2} --\ \textgreater \ 2 H_{2}O +O_{2}
\\2 mol  ----2 mol   (from// reaction)

\\1.24 mol ---1.24 mol (from the problem)

Answer: 1.24 mol H_{2}O.

If two gases are present in a container, the total pressure in the container is equal to
qwelly [4]

Answer: sum of the pressure of the two gases present.

Explanation:

According to Dalton's law, the total pressure of a mixture of gases is the sum of individual pressures exerted by the constituent gases.

p_{total}=p_A+p_B

For example if there are there are two gases hydrogen and oxygen with individual pressure of 30 and 20 atm each. Then the total pressure in the container will be:

p_{total}=p_{H_2}+p_{O_2}

Thus p_{total|=30atm+20atm

p_{total}=50atm

Thus if two gases are present in a container, the total pressure in the container is equal to sum of the pressure of the two gases present.
