Answer: Varying amounts of the Moon's lit surface being visible from Earth.

Explanation:

Phases of the moon can be defined as the different shapes of the moon visible from the Earth. This happens because sun lits up the face of moon and due to different position of moon in the orbit around earth, varying portion of the lit surface of the moon is visible from Earth. How does kinetic energy affect the stopping distance of a vehicle traveling at 30 mph compared to the same vehicle traveling at
Maru [420]
Well you of course have different kinetic energies with the two speeds.
Kinetic energy = (1/2)*mass*velocity^2
The vehicle's mass is the same in both cases, so we can ignore that as well as 1/2 since it's a constant.
So we have (30)^2 vs (60^2)
which is 900 vs 3600
So having 60 mph compared to 30 mph is 4 times the kinetic energy.

Where are the sun's rays the strongest, which makes the ocean water the warmest ?
IgorC [24]
The Gamma Rays are the strongest. This would be located near the core of the sun. What makes ocean water the warmest depends on the season we are in. This is all due to the energy input into the sun.

Answer:1 trip around the earth is an angular displacement of 2*pi

3.6525*10^2 days

I

Explanation:24 h/1 day * 3.600*10^3 s/1h = 3.156*10^7 s

Angular speed = angular displacement / time

Angular speed = 2*pi rads / 3.156*10^7 s = 1.9910*10^-7 rad/s
