Answer:

Na_2CO_3+2HCl \Rightarrow 2NaCl+CO_2+H_2O

Option A is the Answer

Explanation:

Balancing is making the number of atoms of each element same on both the sides (reactant and product side).

To find the number of atoms of each element we multiply coefficient × subscript

For example 5 Ca_1 Cl_2 contains

5 × 1 = 5 , Ca atoms and

5 × 2 = 10, Cl atoms

If there is a bracket in the chemical formula

For example 3Ca_3 (P_1 O_4 )_2 we multiply coefficient × subscript × number outside the bracket.......... to find the number of atoms (Please note: 3 is the coefficient, and if there is no number given then 1 will be the coefficient )

So 3 × 3 = 9, Ca atoms

3 × 1 × 2 = 6, P atoms

3 × 4 × 2 = 24, O atoms are present.

A)

Na_2 CO_3+2HCl>2NaCl+CO_2+H_2 O

Reactant Side # of atoms of each element Product Side

2 Na 2

1 C 1

3 O 3

2 H 2

2 Cl 2

Balanced!!!!

B)

NaCO_3+HCl=2NaCl+CO_2+1H_2O

(Chemical formula given for Sodium carbonate is not correct)

Na2CO3 is the correct formula

C)

2Na_2CO_3+3HCl=3NaCl+2CO_2+H_2O

(Not balanced correctly)

Reactant Side # of atoms of each element Product Side

4 Na 3

2 C 2

6 O 5

3 H 2

3 Cl 3

Not same on both the sides

Hence UnBalanced

D)

Na_2CO_3+HCl=NaCl+CO_2+h_2O??

Unbalanced

Answer:

OPTION C) All hydrogen ions and all hydroxide ions have reacted to produce water, and so neither ion remains free in solution.

Explanation:

The PH reading on the left axis of the graph shows a value of 7.

A value of 7 on the PH scale implies that equal number of hydrogen ions completely reacted with hydroxyl ions to produce water i.e there is no excess of hydrogen and hydroxyl ion remaining in solution.

For values greater than 7, a basic solution is formed and it signifies the presence of excess hydroxyl ion. If the value is less than 7, there is more hydrogen ions in the solution formed and it is said to be acidic.

At point 7, the hydrogen and hydroxyl ions are equal and completely neutralize out one another.

Note: The acid solution would require a base volume of 20mL to be completely neutralized according to the plot. If it is less, the PH shifts to the left and the solution becomes acidic. If it more, the solution becomes basic and the PH shifts rightwards.
