Given v=31 and s=0

H(t) = -16t2 + vt + s

H(t) = -16t^2 + 31t

dH/dt = -32t + 31

At the maximum height, dH/dt = 0

-32t + 31 =0

t = 31/32 = .96875

substitute back to H(t)

H( .96875) = 15.0 ft

ans is C

One week Jenna rented 4 DVDs and 2 Video Games for $18, the next week she rented 2 DVDs and 1 video game for 9$. Find the rental
tangare [24]
To do this problem you have to create two equations. one would be 18=4x+3y
an the other would be 9=2x+y. in this eqaution X is the number of DVDs and Y is the number of Video games. Then you solve for Y in the second equation and you get y=-2x+9. After that you then input this equation in for the other equation and you will have 18=4x+3(-2x+9). you solve for X in this problem and then you take the answer of x and put it in for x in the other equation.
so, 18=4x-6x+27
subtract 27 and add the 4x and -6x
-9=-2x
x=4.5
after this you put it in the other equation
9=-2(4.5)+y
multiply the -2 and 4.5
9=-9+y
add the 9
y=0

When graphing y < 5x − 2, what kind of boundary line is used and where will the graph be shaded?
ZanzabumX [31]
Well, what's the graph of say y = 5x - 2?

the line will come by graphing that, y = 5x - 2... then we check the points that lie on either side of the line.

for example... the point (0,4) is a point that lies on the left-hand-side of that line..... so... let's check for its true/false value

(0, 4)    x = 0, y = 4

y < 5x - 2

4 < 5(0) - 2

4 < 0 - 2

4 < -2 <--- now, is that true? is 4 lesser than -2? well, nope

so, that means the region where 0,4 lies, is the FALSE region, and we do not shade that part, so the part that needs shading is the other side.

The boundary line is dashed, meaning, it DOES NOT include the points lying on that line, but just anything off that, because y < 5x - 2, means "y" is less than, NOT EQUALS OR LESS, but just less.

The sum of 3 numbers is 131. the second of three numbers is seven more than twice the first. the third number is 12 less than th
arsen [322]
A+b+c = 131

b = 7 + 2a and c = a - 12
so a + 7+2a + a-12 = 131
then 4a -5 = 131
then 4a = 136
and a = 34....so b= 75 and c = 22....check 34+75+22=131√
