Hey there. I don't know how to to this problem either, but I'd suggest searching up the formula for volume or whatever. Just enter the values that are in the first sentence of the question, and then divide the sum by 1/2 to see how many times 1/2 [cubes] would go into the shape.

Also, sorry that you're having a tough time. It sucks to have irresponsible parents, I know that too, but just try your hardest. Remembering that there are people who are facing the same things that you are might help, because if they're trying their best, then so should you. So, let's all do our best and try to push through hard times, whether we've been facing the same problems for years and years, or if something just ruins our day. Keep on fighting, and I hope this helped you somewhat.

The U.S. Census Bureau conducts annual surveys to obtain information on the percentage of the voting-age population that is regi
Digiron [165]

Answer:

Yes.  We can conclude that the percentage of the employed workers (p1), who have registered to vote, exceeds the percentage of unemployed workers (p2), who have registered to vote.

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of employed persons in the sample = 700

Number of unemployed person in the sample = 300

Number of employed persons who have registered to vote (p1) = 500

Number of unemployed persons who have registered to vote (p2) = 200

Proportion of registered voters who are employed = 500/700 = 71.4%

Proportion of registered voters who are unemployed = 200/700 = 28.6%

This implies that the percentage of registered voters who are employed is more than the percentage of registered voters who are employed.  71.4% (500/700) of the employed registered to vote as against 66.7% (200/300) of the unemployed who registered to vote.

We can conclude that of the 700 registered voters in the sample, 71.4% (500/700) are employed while 28.6% (200/700) are unemployed.

Therefore, the percentage of the employed workers (p1), who have registered to vote, exceeds the percentage of unemployed workers (p2), who have registered to vote.

A car's cooling system has a capacity of 20 quarts. Initially, the system contains a mixture of 3 quarts of antifreeze and 17 qu
Pachacha [2.7K]

Answer:

1.10 quarts

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that

Capacity of system=20 quarts=\frac{20}{4}=5 gal

1 gallon=4 quarts

Initially mixture contains

Antifreeze=3 quarts=\frac{3}{4}=0.75 gal

Water=17 quarts=\frac{17}{4}=4.25 gal

Water runs in to the system=1gal/min

We have to find the antifreeze in the system at the end of 5  minutes.

Concentration inflow=0

Let Concentration outflow=x

Rate of system=Concentration inflow(water inflow rate)-Concentration outflow(water outflow rate)

\frac{dx}{dt}=0\times 1-\frac{1}{5} x=-\frac{x}{5}

\frac{dx}{x}=-\frac{dt}{5}

Taking integration on both sides

\int\frac{dx}{x}=-\frac{1}{5}\int dt

ln x=-\frac{1}{5}t+C

x=3 and t=0

ln 3=C

ln x-ln 3=-\frac{1}{5}t

ln\frac{x}{3}=-\frac{1}{5}t

Using formula

ln m-ln n=ln\frac{m}{n}

\frac{x}{3}=e^{-0.2t}

x=3e^{-0.2t}

Substitute t=5

x=3e^{-0.2\times 5}=3e^{-1}=1.10

Hence, in the end of 5 minute ,the antifreeze in the system=1.10 quarts

Sam bought a pair of socks for $2.95 and a tie for $7.50. He have the cashier a twenty dollar bill. How much change should Sam r
alekssr [168]

Answer:

He should receive $9.55 in change.

Step-by-step explanation:

He paid 20 dollars, but he only spent $2.95+$7.50. The amount not needed to pay for the clothes is the change. $2.95+$7.50=10.45, and the amount not needed is $20-$10.45, and that is 9.55. Of course, there might be tax, so this is not exact.

What’s the non-permissible value for x^2-x-2
Agata [3.3K]

Answer:

x = -1 and x = 2 are non-permissible

Step-by-step explanation:

for rational equations, the denominator can't equal zero, so find the zeroes of the equation, those will be the non-permissible numbers...

take the denominator and set it equal to zero, then solve...

x² - x - 2 = 0

(x - 2)(x + 1) = 0

so

x - 2 = 0

    x = 2

and

x + 1 = 0

   x = -1

Either of these values make the denominator equal zero, so they are not part of the domain of the function (non-permissible numbers)
