A. Distillation. If the mixtures have different boiling points, the liquid with the lower boiling point will distill off first, followed by the other one.

“B. Filtration” is <em>incorrect</em>. Both liquids will pass through the filter paper.

“C. Sedimentation” is <em>incorrect </em>because it works only for a solid suspended in a liquid.

“D. Evaporation” is <em>incorrect</em>. Both liquids will pass into the atmosphere never to be seen again.

How can a redox reaction be used as a source of electrical energy?
stepladder [879]
A redox reaction be used as a source of electrical energy only when two half-reactions are physically separated. <span>The electrons that are released at the anode flow through the wire, producing an electric current. Galvanic cells therefore transform chemical energy into electrical energy that can then be used to do work.</span>

Calculate the molarity of a NaOH solution that is prepared by diluting 100mL of 0.20M NaOH with 150mL of H2O.
lianna [129]

Molarity of solution = 0.08 M

<h3>Further explanation  </h3>

Molarity shows the number of moles of solute in every 1 liter of solution or mmol in each ml of solution

\tt M=\dfrac{n}{V}

Where

M = Molarity

n = number of moles of solute

V = Volume of solution

  • mol of NaOH

\tt mol=0.2~M\times 100~ml=20~mlmol=0.02~mol

  • molarity

Volume of solution = 100 ml + 150 ml = 250 ml

\tt M=\dfrac{0.02~mol}{0.250~L}=0.08
