The question is incomplete, the complete question is;

In a laboratory experiment, students synthesized a new compound and found that when 12.23 grams of the compound were dissolved to make 228.1 mL of a benzene solution, the osmotic pressure generated was 4.55 atm at 298 K. The compound was also found to be non-volatile and a non-electrolyte. What is the molecular weight they determined for this compound?

Answer:

287.76 g/mol

Explanation:

From;

π = M R T

M = molarity

R= gas constant

T = temperature

number of moles = π * volume/RT

number of moles = 4.55 * 228.1/1000/0.082 * 298

number of moles = 1.037855/24.436

number of moles = 0.0425 moles

Molar mass = mass/number of moles

Molar mass = 12.23 grams/0.0425 moles

Molar mass = 287.76 g/mol

Which hypothesis of Thomson's atomic model was later found to be not true by Niels Bohr and why?
Leto [7]

Answer:

In 1911, Rutherford showed that Thomson's model was "wrong": the distribution of positive and negative particles was not uniform. Rutherford showed that the atom contains a small, massive, positively charged nucleus. He also agreed with Nagaoka that the electrons move in circular orbits outside the nucleus

Properties of matter that do not change a substance into a new substance
Natalija [7]

Any substance changes to another substance that means the change of the physical property. Like water (H_{2}O) has different state which changes as the temperature changes. It remain as liquid in the room temperature, in solid form at or below 0°C and vapor phase on or above 100°C. But in all the stage or phase of the substance the composition of the water i.e. H_{2}O remains. Thus the chemical property remains fixed when a substance change to other substance.

What is the gravitational potential energy of a 30kg wrecking ball hanging from a crane 100m high ?
madam [21]

Answer:

Gravitational potential energy is one type of potential energy and is equal to the product of the object's mass (m), the acceleration caused by gravity (g), and the object's height (h) as distance from the surface of the ground (the body). In this example, a 3 kilogram mass, at a height of 5 meters, while acted on by Earth's gravity would have 147.15 Joules of potential energy, PE = 3kg * 9.81 m/s 2 * 5m = 147.15 J. The energy added to the system by the crane's swing is the gravitational potential energy gained by the change in the wrecking ball's height. We'll need to use trigonometry to determine the height based on the cable length and angle, calculate the potential energy gained, and convert it to kinetic energy.
