If 36 nails weigh a pound, you have to multiply 36 by 7 to find 7 pounds. So,

Anna71 [15]

The inequality is a > 12, which means a is greater than 12. This means that we are looking for numbers that are greater than 12 to place into the solution set. Options A and B are incorrect because 10 and 11 are both numbers less than 12, respectively. Option D is also incorrect because the inequality specifies that the numbers in the solution must be greater than 12, not equal to it, so 12 is not a solution.

This leaves option C as the correct answer, because all of the solutions in the set (13, 14, and 15) are greater than 12.

Therefore, your answer is C.

X intercept<br> Of v^2 +5v+6=0
postnew [5]

Answer:

<h2>x-intercepts:</h2><h2>x = -2 and x = -3 ⇒ (-2, 0) and (-3, 0).</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

f(v)=v^2+5v+6\\\\\text{The x-intercept is for y = 0.}\\\\v^2+5v+6=0\\\\v^2+2v+3v+6=0\\\\v(v+2)+3(v+2)=0\\\\(v+2)(v+3)=0\iff v+2=0\ \vee\ v+3=0\\\\v+2=0\qquad\text{subtract 2 from both sides}\\v=-2\\\\v+3=0\qquad\text{subtract 3 from both sides}\\v=-3

A mattress store sells only king, queen and twin-size mattresses. Sales records at the store indicate that the number of queen-s
Nitella [24]

Answer:

The probability that the next mattress sold is either king or queen-size is P=0.8.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have 3 types of matress: queen size (Q), king size (K) and twin size (T).

We will treat the probability as the proportion (or relative frequency) of sales of each type of matress.

We know that the number of queen-size mattresses sold is one-fourth the number of king and twin-size mattresses combined. This can be expressed as:

P_Q=\dfrac{P_K+P_T}{4}\\\\\\4P_Q-P_K-P_T=0

We also know that three times as many king-size mattresses are sold as twin-size mattresses. We can express that as:

P_K=3P_T\\\\P_K-3P_T=0

Finally, we know that the sum of probablities has to be 1, or 100%.

P_Q+P_K+P_T=1

We can solve this by sustitution:

P_K=3P_T\\\\4P_Q=P_K+P_T=3P_T+P_T=4P_T\\\\P_Q=P_T\\\\\\P_Q+P_K+P_T=1\\\\P_T+3P_T+P_T=1\\\\5P_T=1\\\\P_T=0.2\\\\\\P_Q=P_T=0.2\\\\P_K=3P_T=3\cdot0.2=0.6

Now we know the probabilities of each of the matress types.

The probability that the next matress sold is either king or queen-size is:

P_K+P_Q=0.6+0.2=0.8

Asap please help! and explain how you got the answer!
Inessa [10]
55

To start to solve this problem we start by observing what information there is. We need y, to find y we have to know x. We need x to find y because all the angles in a triangle add up to 180. If we find x we can subtract the angles we know and get y. To find x we look and see that it is on a straight line, and on the other side of the line is 100. We know that a straight line is 180 degrees so we subtract 100 from 180 to get x. We now know x is 80, so now we minus 89 and 45 from 180. We get 55. This means that y is 55.

Hope this helps! Please make me the brainliest, it’s not necessary but appreciated, I put a lot of effort and research into my answers. Have a good day, stay safe and stay healthy.
