Answer:

Money invested in CD account: $2000

Money Invested in Savings Bond: $4000

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Total amount=$6000

Let

x be the amount invested in CD at 4%

And

6000-x be the remaining amount invested in savings bond at 7%

So mathematically writing

0.04x+0.07(6000-x)=360

0.04x+420-0.07x=360

-0.03x+420=360

-0.03x=360-420

-0.03x= -60

x= -60/(-0.03)

x=$2000

So the amount invested in CD is $2000.

And the amount invested in savings bond is:

=6000-x

=6000-2000

=$4000 ..

2x + 3y =10
x + y = 3 please do workings asap
kompoz [17]
This is system of Equations.
2x + 3y =10
x + y = 3

x + y = 3 (multiply this by three) to get 3x + 3y = 9
2x + 3y =10
3x + 3y = 9 Subtract them

-1x = 1
x=-1
Now plug x back into the top equation and solve for y.

I hope this helps! If not, let me know! Have a fantastical day!

Question 1 of 12, Step 1 of 1
stellarik [79]

Answer:

325 and 375 mph

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Distance between plane A and B = 2800

Recall :

Distance = speed * time

Let speed of A = v1

Speed of B = v2

v1 = v2 + 50

Time taken = 4 hours

Distance = speed * time

Total distance = 2800

2800 = v1 * 4 + v2 * 4

2800 = (4v1) + (4v2)

2800 = 4(v2+50) + 4v2

2800 = 4v2 + 200 + 4v2

2800 = 8v2 + 200

2800 - 200 = 8v2

2600 = 8v2

v2 = 2600/8

v2 = 325 mph

v1 = v2 + 50

v1 = 325 + 50

v1 = 375 mph

Write a ratio for the following word phrase. Write fractions in lowest terms.42 in. to 6 ft
ollegr [7]
42 feet to 6 feet can be written as both ratio and a fraction:

42:6
42/6

If we look at the fraction, we can clearly see that we can simplify it:

42/6 = 7/1 = 7

So we can write the ratio in its lowest terms as 7:1.
