The mass of the second cart is 2kg, and its momentum is 10kg m/s ;therefore, it must be that

(2kg)v = 10kg\: m/s

which gives

v = 5m/s.

Then the kinetic energy of 3kg cart is

K.E.  = \dfrac{1}{2}mv^2

= \dfrac{1}{2}(2kg)(5m/s)^2 =  25J

\boxed{K.E = 25J}

which is less than that of the 1kg cart ; therefore, the 1st cart has greater kinetic energy.

      sin² 5.64t = 2 9.8 / 0.052 cos 5.64t

we make the change of variable

       x = cos 5.64t

given that

L = 85 dB

also we know that

now we have

By solving above equation

I = 10^{8.5} * 10^{-12}

I = 3.16 * 10^{-4} W/m^2

now above is the intensity due to two firecrackers and if we wish to find the sound level of one firecracker then we will find its half level intensity
