We know that
speed=distance/time

1) <span>Sarah rides her horse for 2 1/6 hrs with a constant speed of 6 km/hr
time=2 1/6 hrs----> 13/6 hrs
speed=6 km/h
distance=speed*time----> 6*(13/6)---> 13 km

2)</span><span>for another 2 hours and 5 minutes with a constant speed of 12 km/hr
time=2hrs+5 minutes----> 2+(5/60)--> 125/60 hrs
speed=12 km/hrs
distance=speed*time----> 12*(125/60)---> 25 km

3) find the </span><span>average speed for the total trip
total distance=13 km+25 km----> 38 km
total time=(13/6)+(125/60)----> (10*13+125)/60----> 4.25 hours
speed=38/4.25----> 8.94 km/hrs

the answer is
8.94 km/hrs</span>

A rectangular prism has a length of 20 in a width of 2 in and a height of 3 1/4 in the prism is filled with cubes that have edge
Zinaida [17]
You can express the edge lengths in terms of "cubes" or you divide the total volume by the volume of a cube. It works either way.

Edge lengths are
.. 80 cubes by 8 cutes by 13 cubes
so total volume is
.. (80 * 8 * 13) = 8320 cubes

In cubic inches, the volume is
.. (20 in)*(2 in)*(3 1/4 in) = 130 in^3.
The volume of a 1/4-in cube is (1/4 in)^3 = 1/64 in^3.
Then the number of cubes that will fit in the prism is
.. (130 in^3)/(1/64 in^3) = 8320 . . . . cubes

8320 cubes are needed to fill the rectangular prism.

In order to reduce their debt, the Johnsons sold some real estate property valued at $165,000 for $143,000. They paid off a loan
Pepsi [2]
The correct answer is option "b", "<span>The Johnsons increased their liquid assets".

</span><span>The inquiry is giving us the accompanying situation: "so as to reduce their debt, the Johnson's sold some land property esteemed at $165,000 for $143,000. They paid off an advance adjust of $100,000 and put the rest in investment funds." We can see that they really lost cash - they got for the house not as much as the house is worth - they diminished their net esteem. Be that as it may, they have more money that they can utilize (the investment funds) - this is called liquid assets,  so the right answer is b, The Johnsons expanded their liquid assets.
