Answer: Co-formation Theory

Explanation:

There are three theories which hypothesis the formation of moon:

Giant impact hypothesis- moon was formed out of the collision of Mars-sized body and Earth.

Co-formation theory - moon was formed along the Earth from the dust of the solar Nebula. Proto-moon was close to Proto-Earth, hence, they have similar rocky composition.

Capture theory- Moon (a rocky body ) was captured by Earth's gravity.

Mr. Harris stated that the moon and the earth formed at the same time from dust from the solar nebula. Thus, He is describing Co-formation theory.

the young’s modulus of aluminum is 69gpa, of nylon is 3gpa, of tungsten is 400gpa, and of copper is 117gpa. if equal-size sample
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

Least to most elongated: tungsten, copper, aluminum, nylon.

Explanation:

Materials with high Young's modulus are difficult to stretch. σ = Yε and ε = ΔL/L so an object with a high Young's modulus (Y) subject to a certain tensile stress (σ) will have a smaller strain than an object with a smaller Young's 's modulus subject to the same tensile stress. If strain (ε) is smaller, then ΔL will also be smaller.

In 8.5 s a fisherman winds 2.4 m of fishing line onto a reel whose radius is 3.0 cm (assumed to be constant as an approximation)
SSSSS [86.1K]

Answer:

9.412 rad/s.

Explanation:

Velocity is the rate of change of an object's position.

V = x/t

Where x is the distance in m

= 2.4 m

t is time taken in s

= 8.5 s

V = 2.4/8.5

= 0.2824 m/s.

Equating linear velocity and angular velocity,

V = ω*r

Where,

ω Is the angular speed in rad/s

r is the radius of the circle in m

= 3 cm

= 3cm * 1m/100 cm = 0.03 m

ω = V/r

= 0.2824/0.03

= 9.412 rad/s.

You make a telephone call from New York to a friend in London. Estimate how long it will take the electrical signal generated by
nadezda [96]

Answer:

a)  t = 2 10⁻² s ,  t = 2.4 10-1 s

Explanation:

In this exercise they indicate the delay in two signals

a) A signal travels on an electrical cable, between New York and London.

The wave formed in this wire for the signal. This wave travels at the speed of light, c = 3 108 m / s, so the delay is very small

                t = d / c

               t = 6000 10³/3 10⁸

               t = 2 10⁻² s

b) The signal points to a satellite in geostationary orbit

                   distance traveled = √ (2 36000 10³)² + 6000²

                  distance = 72 10⁶ m

the waiting time is

                t = d / c

                t = 72 10⁶/3 10⁸

               t = 2.4 10-1 s

    we can see that the signal sent by the satellites has more delay because its distance is much greater
