Just try to make it as imaginable as possible let your readers feel and see what you are writing to them

Put in how it would feel, smell, taste, etc. Just make it so that the readers can imagine they are there. Ex. You could hear the crackling of the fire miles away. The smell of redwood surrounded us. And when I took a bite of the s'more it was filled with rich creamy chocolate, and fluffy marshmallows, and crunch crackers!

The correct option is C). Since. Since can be used as the concise alternative for the phrase: due to the fact that.

What other concise alternative can be used for the phrase: due to the fact that?

The phrase 'due to the fact that' can usually be replaced by the concise word "because".

For example- 'The picnic was cancelled due to the fact that it was raining.' Instead of using the complete phrase due to the fact that- it can be stated as 'The picnic was cancelled because it was raining.'

Here, Since can also be used as since is also used sometimes in place of because.

Answer:

The sentence that best supports the inference that Madeleine's parents are supportive of her artistic interest it:

Her basement was equipped with countless expensive art supplies, including an easel, dozens of sets of various paints, and stack after stack of specialty paper.

Explanation:

According to the passage, Madeleine would spend hours as a child painting in the basement. Since she was young and had no means to make her own money, the fact that she had expensive art supplies leads us to infer that her parents were supportive of her artistic interest. We can assume they were the ones buying her the supplies. That is why the best option is:

Her basement was equipped with countless expensive art supplies, including an easel, dozens of sets of various paints, and stack after stack of specialty paper.
