This is because both the protons and the neutrons in an atom have a relatively equal mass

All the elements you listed share a common trait: they are synthetic, radioactive elements. These elements do not have a stable isotope, so for a radioactive element, its most stable isotope's atomic mass will be listed in parentheses.

One such example would be plutonium. This element has 6 different isotopes with differing half-lives. The most stable isotope for plutonium is plutonium-244, with a half-life of around 80 million years. Therefore, the atomic mass listed for plutonium will be (244).

What is Avogadro's number, and why is it useful? (3 points)
SashulF [63]

Answer:

6.022 x 10²³; it is a conversion factor between moles and number of particles

Explanation:

It is the number of atoms , ions and molecules in one gram atom of element, one gram molecules of compound and one gram ions of a substance.

The number 6.022 × 10²³ is called Avogadro number.

For example,

18 g of water = 1 mole = 6.022 × 10²³ molecules of water

1.008 g of hydrogen = 1 mole of hydrogen  = 6.022 × 10²³ atoms of hydrogen

238 g of uranium = 1 mole of uranium = 6.022 × 10²³ atoms of uranium

By taking ions:

62 g of NO⁻₃ =  1 mole of  NO⁻₃  = 6.022 × 10²³ ions of  NO⁻₃

96 g of SO₄²⁻ = 1 mole of SO₄²⁻ =  6.022 × 10²³ ions of  SO₄²⁻

Please help me with this, thank you so much
Basile [38]
I can’t answer the exact thing, but I know how to do it. One of the nitrogen bases always pairs with a different one, so once you know what pairs with what you just write it down. If you need more help just ask :) tip: one base will only join with a different one. One won’t join to multiple (from what I know as of now)
