Biology

Answer:

HERE JUST TAKE IT

Explanation:

Ok, there's carbon and hydrogen in all of them, that's the only similarity. They are known collectively as macro-nutrients.

Carbohydrates are basically, oxygen, carbon and hydrogen and they're the bodies primary source of energy. This means that they're the first source of energy used which is why if you eat foods high in simple sugars you get a sugar rush. All carbs metabolize down to glucose, some faster than others.

Fats are called lipids. Lipids are very heterogeneous (this means that there's not much similarity between them). Some examples of lipids are steroids, seed oils, pork fat, cholesterol, etc. The main thing in common with them is that they don't mix with water. They are readily stored in fat cells in the form of tryglicerides and are used when carbs are all used up. They also yield the highest per gram amount of energy (it escapes me right now).

In a chemical sense, fats are lipids derived from animals (saturated, solid at room temperature) and oils are derived from plants and seeds (insaturated with some exceptions, and liquid at room temperature. Insaturated are healthier because they contain HDL which cleans your arteries (prevents artherosclerosis).

Proteins are made up of aminoacids, 20 make up the vast amount of human proteins. Enzimes (the most famous being digestive enzimes) are proteins, skin is covered in protein, hair is protein, cilia and flagella are protein, basically EVERYTHING is protein, after water the human body is basically protein. They're only used up as energy when everything else is used up.

When athletes eat/drink protein, it's to give them building materials in order to increase the amount of stuff inside their cells which will enable them to produce more energy.

In a mono hybrid cross of heterozygous pea plant with round (R) yellow (Y) seeds there will be genotype ratio of 9 _____ 3,____
andreev551 [17]

Genotype ratio refers to the probability of each type of thing (in this case, round/yellow seeds) occurring based on the Punnett square. If you were to write out how many of each specific hybrid occurred in the square, you'd get:

1 RRYY

2 RRYy

2 RrYY

4 RrYy

1 RRyy

1 rrYY

1 rryy

What does this tell us? In this case, the only thing that matters is the capital letter (since that's the dominant trait and will determine whether the seed is/isn't round/yellow).

Looking at each one, you see some of them are the same - for example, RRYY and RRYy both end up as round and yellow. RrYy is too, as is RrYY.

So, you end up with 9 round and yellow; 3 round and not yellow; 3 not round and yellow; 1 not round and not yellow.

Answer:

The probability of the study result being subject to bias while interpreting -------- it's a YES

Explanation:

Probability of Leukemia

A. Among traced group

= 4/1,870 persons.

B. Among self-reported group

= 4/443 person.

We can deduce

A higher rate of occurrence in self-reported group which could be causesd by fear of leukemia occurrence or suspicion of their previous exposure at atomic sites

Use the following information when answering the following question In 1668, Francesco Redi performed a series of experiments on
Temka [501]

Answer:

The correct answer is: a. Maggots do not arise spontaneously, but from eggs laid by adult flies.

Explanation:

  • In the given experiment,
  1. The meat in the open jars can be directly accessed by the adult flies for consumption. While accessing the food, some of these adult flies can lay egg into the jars which hatch to give rise to new maggots.
  2. The meat in jars closed by a gauze is exposed to the air but cannot be accessed by the adult flies as the flies are prevented from entering into the jar due to the presence of the gauze. As a result of this the flies do not consume meat, nor do they lay eggs and so no maggots will appear in this jar.
