Hello. This question is incomplete. The full question is:

"What effects would el niño most likely have on organisms? check all that apply :

el niño would lead to the extinction of a species. el niño would lead to the death of organisms or populations. el niño would cause changes in the genetic makeup of organisms, el niño would cause continents to move to different parts of the planet. el niño would cause organisms to move in search of food and better conditions."

Answer:

 • El Niño would lead to the death of organisms or populations.
 • El Niño would cause organisms to move in search of food and better conditions.

Explanation:

El Niño is a climatic phenomenon that has many effects on nature. Basically, this phenomenon is characterized by the promotion of trade bliss from the east towards the west. When this occurs, the result is an accumulation of hot water in the upper layer of the Pacific oceans. With the increase in water temperature, evaporation becomes much higher than normal, forming large clouds laden with water vapor in this region, which will result in a strong rainy season.

El niño can affect the fauna of this region in a great way, some examples that can happen are:

 • El Niño would lead to the death of organisms or populations.
 • El Niño would cause organisms to move in search of food and better conditions.

Testing Two-Point Discrimination
yanalaym [24]
Two-point discrimination is the minimal distance which someone can perceive two different stimuli that given simultaneously. An area with higher receptor density will have a lower two-point discrimination result since the distance between receptor is lower.
The area that needs a high sensitivity like the palm of the hands(especially the fingertips), face, and tongue should be the one with lowest two-point discrimination.

In this report, anterior forearm two-point discrimination result is the lower than the fingertip. This result is suspicious since the forearm shouldn't more sensitive than the fingertip. Fingertip two-point discrimination is around 2-6mm and forearm should be much higher than 6mm.

In sexually reproducing multicellular organisms, the main functions of mitosis are _____. Check all that apply.
nasty-shy [4]

Answer:

b)repair/replacement of damaged cells growth and development

Explanation:

Mitosis is a process of cell division that has many purposes. In individuals of sexual reproduction such as humans, mitosis is responsible for multiplying cells during the embryonic development; through this process the zygote (unicellular) is transformed into a multicellular organism. Additionally, mitosis allows the formation of new cells for tissue growth and to replace worn out cells.

The cell division that allows the gamete production for reproduction is a different process called meiosis.

Which best describes the life cycles of moss and angiosperm?
jonny [76]

Ans. Option (IV).

Mosses can be defined as non-vascular, flowerless plants that are found in shady or damp regions and reproduce via haploid spores. During reproduction in moss, haploid male gametes or spores are released into surrounding environment that fuse with female spores to form zygote that develop into mature sporophyte.

Angiosperms are vascular, flowering plants that reproduce by seeds. During reproduction in angiosperms, haploid male gametes or pollen grains are released into surrounding environment that fuse with female gametes or eggs to form zygote that develop into seed.

Thus, the correct answer is option (IV).

Compare and contrast the cell walls of fungi and plants. Both cell walls provide structural support but fungi is made of polysac
RideAnS [48]

Answer:

With respect to the cell wall of fungi and plants, it is correct to state that both cell walls provide structural support but fungi is made of polysaccharides and chitin and plants are made of cellulose.

Explanation:

The cell wall is the most external structure of the cells of fungi and plants, giving them form and protection, at the same time that it allows the growth and the function of relation between cells and of these with respect to its environment.

the main difference between the cell wall of fungi and plants is its composition, being in the first ones chitin and glucosamine. In plants, the main component of the cell wall is cellulose.
