Well we know the arc two secant/(secant and tangent lines) intersecting on a point of a circle subtends will be twice of that the angle the two lines make themselves. So in this problem the tang. and sec. lines intersect on the circle so that means the arc they subtend is twice as angle 8. So it is 2 × ∠8 = 220° so ∠8 is 110°

A geodesic dome has a radius of 27 feet. Which value is closest to the volume of the dome? Use 3.14 for π.
pantera1 [17]
We know, Volume of a Sphere = 4/3 πr³
v = 4/3 * 3.14 * 27³
v = 4/3 * 3.14 * 19,683
v = 82406.16 feet³

In short, Your Answer would be Option B

Hope this helps!

A hollow cubical box is 0.30 m on an edge. this box is floating in a lake with one-third of its height beneath the surface. the
sasho [114]
Given hollow cubical box of side 0.30 m=3 dM
volume V=3^3=27 dm^3 = 27 L

Weight of box
= weight of (fresh) water (1 kg/L) displaced
= V/3 = 9 L of water = 9 kg

When water is filled so that the total weight of water equals the weight of volume of box, the top rim of the box will be at water level.

Remaining volume = 27-9=18L
height of 18L of water when water rushes in
= 18/(3^2) = 2 dm  (=0.2m)

How do I solve for what is sin A for the triangle shown
PtichkaEL [24]

Option a:

sin A for the triangle is \frac{3}{5}.

Solution:

The given triangle is a right triangle.

The adjacent side to angle A is AC.

The opposite side to angle A is BC.

Hypotenuse is AB.

AC = 8, BC = 6 and AB = 10.

Using trigonometric ratio formulas,

$\sin \theta=\frac{\text { Opposite side }}{\text { Hypotenuse }}

$\sin A=\frac{BC}{AB}

$\sin A=\frac{6}{10}

Divide both numerator and denominator by 2, we get

$\sin A=\frac{6\div2}{10\div 2}

$\sin A=\frac{3}{5}

Hence sin A for the triangle is \frac{3}{5}.

Option a is the correct answer.
