Answer with explanation:

  Speed

              =\frac{\text{Distance traveled}}{\text{Time taken}}

When you will observe the graph

Time is represented on X axis

And , Distance traveled is represented on Y axis.

In 5 hours ,Henry travels a distance of 300 miles.

So, in 1 hour distance traveled by Henry

     =\frac{300}{5}\\\\=60 miles

So, Speed of Henry

=60 \frac{miles}{hour}

Speed can be calculated by this method also

 =\frac{\text{Difference in two y values lying on the straight line}}{\text{Corresponding x values}}\\\\=\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}\\\\=\frac{300-0}{5-0}\\\\=60 \frac{miles}{hour}

Option D: 60 miles per hour

Write an equation of a line going through (5,7) and (4 , -4)
Ostrovityanka [42]

Answer:

The equation of this line would be y = 11x - 48

Step-by-step explanation:

To get this equation, we first have to find the slope. We do that with the slope eqaution.

m(slope) = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

m = (-4 - 7)/(4 - 5)

m = -11/-1

m = 11

Now we can use this slope and either point in point-slope form to find the equation.

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y - 7 = 11(x - 5)

y - 7 = 11x - 55

y = 11x - 48

Let f(x) = sin(x) + icos(x). Show that |f(x)| = 1.
Oksanka [162]
F(x) = sin(x) + icos(x)
|f(x)| = sqrt(sin^2(x) + cos^2(x)) = sqrt(1) = 1

Therefore, |f(x)| = 1
