The variable c = 5 meaning we can replace the value of c in the equation with 5. Solve the equation now as you normally would.

3 (5) + 17 = 15 + 17 = 32

The answer is 32 and if this helps please give brainliest to help me reach expert ;)

Since you are given the value of c, you can plug that in and solve. So you have 3(5) + 17, which when you multiply 3 and 5, you get 15, and when you add 17 to that, you get 32.Therefore the value of 3c + 17, knowing that c is equal to 5, would be 32. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask me questions about my explanation, or any other questions you may have.

Describe the pattern in the numbers. Write the next number.
3. -6, -1, 4, 9, ...
vovikov84 [41]

Answer:

14

Step-by-step explanation:

When looking at a sequence, look at the difference between each number. If you look at the first 4 numbers, you will observe:

-6 + 5 = -1

-1 + 5 = 4

4 + 5 = 9

Therefore, the next number must be 9 + 5 = 14.

What is the value of Y?
sdas [7]

Answer: 57 = y

Step-by-step explanation: To find the value of y in this problem, we use the exterior angle theorem which states that the measure of the exterior angle of a triangle is equal to the sum of the measures of the remote interior angles.

So in the diagram shown, the exterior angle, 114,

is equal to the sum of the remote interior angles, y + y.

So we have 114 = y + y.

Solving from here, first combine like terms on the right side.

So we have 114 = 2y.

Now divide both sides by 2 to get 57 = y.
