A watering can dispenses water at a rate of 0.15 gallon per minute. The original volume of water in the can was 5 gallons. Which

set of ordered pairs shows the volume of water in the can in gallons (y) as a function of time in minutes (x) from the first minute after the can starts dispensing water? {(1, 5.0), (2, 4.85), (3, 4.60)} {(5.0, 1), (4.85, 2), (4.70, 3)} {(1, 4.85), (2, 4.70), (3, 4.55)} {(4.85, 1), (4.70, 2), (4.45, 3)}

Y equals volume of water, x equals time. If they ask to find the coordinates at one minute, then the first thing you should do is set x equal to 1. That leaves two possible answers. Finally you need to decide how much water is lost in one minute. if you need more help leave a comment.

I think the answer is basketball players' gender does not seem to affect shoe preference for the players in the survey. I believe this because both genders prefer the same thing, so the gender won't matter since they both prefer hightop shoes. If they preferred different shoes, then it would matter.
Hope this helps.

\sum\limits_{k=1}^{\infty}420\left(\dfrac{1}{6}\right)^{k-1}

The infinite geometric series is converges if |r| < 1.

We have r=1/6 < 1, therefore our infinite geometric series is converges.

The sum S of an infinite geometric series with |r| < 1 is given by the formula :

S=\dfrac{a_1}{1-r}

We have:

a_1=420\left(\dfrac{1}{6}\right)^{1-1}=420\left(\dfrac{1}{6}\right)^0=420\\\\r=\dfrac{1}{6}

substitute:

S=\dfrac{420}{1-\frac{1}{6}}=\dfrac{420}{\frac{5}{6}}=420\cdot\dfrac{6}{5}=84\cdot6=504

Answer: d. Converges, 504.

ANDREA IS A VERY GOOD STUDENT. THE PROBABILITY THAT SHE STUDIES AND PASSES HER MATHEMATICS TEST IS 17/20. IF THE PROBABILITY THA
Eva8 [605]
Let B be the event that Andrea passes her test, and let A be the event
<span>that she studies. We are given that P(A and B) = 17/20, and that P(A) = 15/16. </span>

<span>Now the probability that Andrea passes her test given that she has studied </span>
<span>is represented by P(BlA). The formula your teacher gave you can be written as </span>
<span>P(BlA) = P(A and B) / P(A). </span>

<span>So P(BlA) = P(A and B) / P(A) = (17/20) / (15/16) = (17/20)*(16/15) = 68/75.</span>
