Answer:

the smallest container which can contain soup of 8 jar will be of size 2400 milliliters

Step-by-step explanation:

Mei has soup = 8 jars

Jar contains soup = 300 milliliters

to calculate the smallest post needed to heat all the soup together.

The container should be able to incorporate the 8 jars hence  the smallest size of  container will be

= number of jar × soup quantity

                          = 8 × 300

                          = 2400 milliliters

hence, the smallest container which can contain a soup of 8 jars will be of size 2400 milliliters.

Mei has 8 jars and each is 300ml

so she will need to times 8 by 300ml = 2400ml.

She needs a pot that holds 2400ml at least

(Actually, she needs a bigger pot because it needs to hold 2400ml so if the pot is that size the liquid will spill)

Find the number that makes the ratio equivalent to 1:6.<br> 9:__
Anarel [89]
Answer: 54

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Explanation:

The first ratio is 1:6. The jump from 1 to 6 has us multiplying the 1 by 6 to get 6.
1*6 = 6
So we follow the same rule of "multiply by 6" to go from 9 to 54 (9*6 = 54)

Or you can use a proportion to get
1/6 = 9/x
1*x = 6*9 ... cross multiply
x = 54
and we get the same answer
