If the Supreme Court didn't have that ability, then they couldn't keep a check on Congress or the President as much as they do now which would make them the weakest of the 3 branches.

The Supreme Court has the power to enact the constitution, formed by the constituents of the Senate. Truly, constitutions are established and tested by the members of Senate and President and they have the power to choose the magistrate for the Supreme Court. The principal purpose of the Supreme Court is to implement these constitutes in the society to maintain its security. When a law or policy is formed by these members, the judges of the Supreme Court observe its validity within the structure of constitutions and notify when found any irrelevancy or their laws violate the laws of constitutions. It also has the authority to inform the President when he is going to violet the rules of the state. If the Supreme Court has limited power for the analysis in the constitutions, some policies might be assembled by the Senate which is against the laws of forming constituents and right of the people.
