This is a very easy question. All you do is calculate 50/16, which leads you to the answer of 3,125, so the answer is 3.

Compare using < >, or = 5 3/4 ____ 6 1/4
uysha [10]
I was going to say that you would need to change the mixed numbers into an improper fraction but then I realized that they both have the same denominator (4), meaning that in this case if the whole number outside of the fraction is bigger than the one for the other then it’s greater than regardless.

6 is greater than 5, so

5¾<6¼

6. It took Todd 9 hours to paint 4 rooms.
Afina-wow [57]

Answer:

5 rooms

Step-by-step explanation:

4 rooms = 9 hours

9 hours = 540 minutes

1 room = 540 ÷ 4 = 135 minutes

60 x 12 = 720 minutes (12 hours)

720 ÷ 135 = 5.33333

5.3333 estimated to nearest whole number = 5

1)cot a/2 -tan a/2 = 2 cot a
2) cot b/2 + tan b/2= 2 cosec b
prove
VladimirAG [237]
1)

LHS = cot(a/2) - tan(a/2)

= (1 - tan^2(a/2))/tan(a/2)

= (2-sec^2(a/2))/tan(a/2)

= 2cot(a/2) - cosec(a/2)sec(a/2)

= 2(1+cos(a))/sin(a) - 1/(cos(a/2)sin(a/2))

= 2 (1+cos(a))/sin(a) - 2/sin(a)) (product to sums)

= 2[(1+cos(a) -1)/sin(a)]

=2cot a

= RHS

2.

LHS = cot(b/2) + tan(b/2)

= [1 + tan^2(b/2)]/tan(b/2)

= sec^2(b/2)/tan(b/2)

= 1/sin(b/2)cos(b/2)

using product to sums

= 2/sin(b)

= 2cosec(b)

= RHS
