The Civil War was more than just a series of battles. It was a nationwide catastrophe that had a profound impact on all aspects of American society.

Men were taken from farms, factories, and plantations and sent to fight one another leaving women and children to tend to the home front. Huge casualties on both sides meant that everyone was directly affected by the carnage, even those living far from the scene of battle. In the areas where battles did occur, homes, farms, schools, and bridges were leveled.

All in all, war led to the dislocation of American society on an unprecedented scale.

How did black consciousness influenced South Africans to bring back lost dignity
diamong [38]

Answer:

The movement was led by a man called Steve Biko. BC encouraged all black South Africans to recognize their inherent dignity and self-worth. In the 1970s, the Black Consciousness Movement spread from university campuses into urban black communities throughout South Africa.

Biko was banned in 1973. This meant that he was not allowed to speak to more than one person at a time, was restricted to certain areas, and could not make speeches in public. It was also forbidden to quote anything he said, including speeches or simple conversations, or to otherwise mention him.

Try It: Mesopotamian and ancient Egyptian Religion 2 of 52 of 5 Items Item 2 POSSIBLE POINTS: 2 Ziggurats were religious monumen
lord [1]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Here, we just have a statement, not a question. If this is a true or false question, then the answer is "true."

It is true that  Ziggurats were religious monuments dedicated to specific Mesopotamian gods, while pyramids were built over the tombs of pharaohs in ancient Egypt.

Ziggurats were impressive buildings built by the Sumerians as religious ceremonial centers to honor their different gods. They were located in the middle of the most important Sumerian cities such as Nippur, Eridu, Ur, and Uruk.

Regarding the pyramids, official ancient Egyptian history says that the Pharaohs built the major pyramids in Cairo, Egypt(Gize) as mausoleums to bury them in tombs.
