If you put in the substitutions it would be 2*2-(2*2*4)+(3*2)-(-4*2)+(2*4).
Simplified further by multiplying it would be 2*2-8+6--8+8
the negative 8 could be simplified further since the negatives cancel out so you'll have 2*2-8+6+8+8.
Then using the order of operations you would multiply the 2's together first to get 4 so you have 4-8+6+8+8.
After that it's simple addition giving you an answer of -26.
I'm not sure if you're looking for the final answer or just the equation with substitutions but there's both.

how many bricks can my truck carry in a full load if each brick weighs 4 pounds 14 ounces and my truck can carry a 3/4 ton load
aleksklad [387]

Answer:

The number of bricks a truck can carry in full load is 308 .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The weight of each brick = 4 pounds and 14 ounce

The total load a truck can carry = \dfrac{3}{4}  tons

Let The number of bricks truck can carry = n bricks

<u>Now, According to question</u>

∵ 1 ounce = 0.0625 pounds

∴ 14 ounce = 0.0625 × 14 = 0.875 pounds

So, Total weight of each brick = 4 pounds + 0.875 pounds = 4.875 pounds

<u>Again</u>

∵ 1 pound = 0.0005 tons

∴ 4.875 pounds =  0.0005 × 4.875 = 0.0024375 tons

<u>Now, Again</u>

The total load a truck can carry = \dfrac{3}{4} tons = 0.75 tons

And The weight of each brick = 0.0024375 tons

So, The number of bricks = \dfrac{\textrm total load a truck can carry}{\textrm Total weight of each brick}

I.e n = \dfrac{0.75}{0.0024375}

∴ n = 307.69 ≈ 308

So, The number of bricks can truck carry = n = 308

Hence, The number of bricks a truck can carry in full load is 308 . Answer

18=a<br> Over 2 <br> How do you solve that as a one step
Aloiza [94]
Multiply both sides by 2
(2) 18 = x/2 (2)
the /2 (2) gets canceled out
so it's 36= x

Hope this helps

Problem 1

<h3>Answer:  B. M<3 would need to double.</h3>

Explanation: This is because angles 3 and 6 are congruent corresponding angles. Corresponding angles are congruent whenever we have parallel lines like this. If they weren't congruent, then the lines wouldn't be parallel. We would need to double angle 3 to keep up with angle 6.

=====================================================

Problem 2

<h3>Answer: D. none of these sides are parallel</h3>

Explanation: We have angles A and C that are same side interior angles, but they add to A+C = 72+72 = 144, which is not 180. The same side interior angles must add to 180 degrees for parallel lines to form. This shows AB is not parallel to CD.

A similar situation happens with angles B and D, since B+D = 108+108 = 216. This also shows AB is not parallel to CD. We can rule out choices A and C.

Choice B is false because AD is a diagonal along with BC. The diagonals of any quadrilateral are never parallel as they intersect inside the quadrilateral. Parallel lines never intersect.

The only thing left is choice D. We would say that AC || BD, since A+B = 72+108 = 180 and C+D = 72+108 = 180, but this isn't listed as an answer choice.
