Put the terms in order of decreasing degree, all on the left. When convenient, it is nice to have mutually prime integer coefficients with the leading one positive.

a) x² -2x +1 = 0

b) x² +15 = 0

c) 4x² -12 = 0
or, better, divide out the common factor of 4.
  x² -3 = 0

d) 3x² -x -5 = 0

_____
Shown is the standard form for a single-variable second-degree equation. Form varies depending on the nature of the equation. Equations of conic sections have different standard forms, depending on the curve.

You use the equation given to solve the problem.

x= 4x9
X=36
The four is for the amount of people. The nine is the cost.

For the questions where you have to find out how much each person paid you would have to divided the amount by the number of people.

So, 36/9= 4.30

Therefore each person paid $4.30.

(Hope this helps you)

<u>
</u>-10 = x₂
<u />9 = y₂

2=m
5=m

Plug in given numbers

<u>-10 + x</u> = 2                <u>9 + y</u><u /> = 5

Solve

<u>-10 + x</u> = 2*2

         x = 14
(9 + y)/2(2) = 5 (2)
9 + y = 10
-9         -9

Kelly flies a distance of 2,100 miles. The trip takes 4 2/3 hours.
Ede4ka [16]

Answer:

450 miles per hour

Step-by-step explanation:

Kelly flies at a distance of 2,100 miles

The time taken for the trip is 4 2/3 hours

Therefore the rate of speed can be calculated as follows

= 2,100 ÷ 4 2/3

= 2,100 ÷ 14/3

= 2100 × 3/14

= 150 × 3

= 450 miles per hour

Brainliest for whoever gets this right!
My name is Ann [436]

Answer:

x=\frac{(a^2+ab)}{a-b}

Step-by-step explanation:

So we want to make x the subject of the formula:

a(x-b)=a^2+bx

First, distribute the left side:

a(x)-a(b)=a^2+bx\\ax-ab=a^2+bx

Combine all the terms with x with it on one side. To do this, first subtract bx from both sides. The right side cancels:

(ax-ab)-bx=(a^2+bx)-bx\\ax-ab-bx=a^2

Remove the -ab from the left. Add ab to both sides. The left side cancels:

(ax-ab-bx)+ab=a^2+ab\\ax-bx=a^2+ab

Now, distribute out the x from the left side:

ax-bx=a^2+ab\\x(a-b)=a^2+ab

Divide both sides by (a-b). The left side cancels:

\frac{(x(a-b))}{a-b}=\frac{(a^2+ab)}{a-b}  \\x=\frac{(a^2+ab)}{a-b}

Therefore:

x=\frac{(a^2+ab)}{a-b}
