Answer:

C. 146

Step-by-step explanation:

We will split this figure into 4 pieces, the triangle at the bottom, the triangles on the left and the right and the rectangle in the middle. The rectangle in the middle has a length of 4 and a width of 10 which makes an area of 40. The triangles on the left and right are the same, so the width of the figure is 14. We used 4 for the rectangle so there is 10 left over. Divide that in half. Each triangle has a base of 5, so the height of the triangle is 10. Each triangle has an area of 1/2 (5) (10) which is 25. The bottom triangle has a base of 14 . The height is the total height of 18 minus the height we used of 10. the bottom triangle has a height of 8. The area of the triangle is 1/2 (8) * 14 =56. We add the total together of the 4 shapes. 40+25+25+56 =146

What is the least positive integer by which 24 should be divided so that the resulting integer is a perfect square?
Daniel [21]

Answer: divide by 6?

Step-by-step explanation:

What is the least positive integer by which 24 should be divided so that the resulting integer is a perfect square?

If we actually guess and check by dividing by 1, then 2, then 3, then etc. we will get the answer. I tried and divided by 6, which is 4, which is a perfect square. Do not trust me completely on this, for I am not quite sure.

Fed [463]
If you would like to know which unit rate is equivalent to 17 miles per gallon, you can calculate this using the following steps:

17 miles ... x gallon = ?
51 miles ... 3 gallons

x = 17 * 3 / 51 = 1 gallon

17 miles ... x gallon = ?
34 miles ... 4 gallons

x = 17 * 4 / 34 = 2 gallons

The correct result would be: fifty-one miles over three gallons.
