Importing resources through vehicles causes air pollution as the exhaust of the vehicles contains the toxic by-products of burnt fuel. Habitat loss is a result of importing woods from the forests like Amazon rain forest. And oil spills are the result from the spelling of oil on the surface of water in the sea during the import of oil through sea route on a ship. All of the activities related to important resources inside United State has the direct environmental consequences in one way or another.
