Answer:

jj

Explanation:

Energy obtained by burning of 1 kg coal = 27 million Joule

a.

Energy obtained by burning of 75 kg coal = 27 x 75 = 2025 million Joule

Power = Energy obtained per second

Power = \frac{2025}{1} million Joule per second

P = \frac{2025}{1}\times 10^{6} Watt

P = \frac{2.025}{1}\times 10^{9} Watt

b.

Input power =  2025 million Watt

Output power = 800 million Watt

Efficiency = output power / input power

Efficiency = 800 / 2025 = 0.395

Efficiency = 39.5%

A) P = 75 \times (2.7\times10^7) = 2.025\times10^9 W

b) Efficiency =  \frac{8\times10^8}{2.025\times10^9} \times 100 \approx 39.5\%

A rolling (without slipping) hoop with a radius of 0.27 m and a mass of 1.80 kg climbs an incline. At the bottom of the incline,
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

Explanation:

Angular speed of hoop ω = v / r

= 8.90 / .27

= 32.96 rad / s

Translational kinetic energy = 1/2 mv²

= .5 x 1.8 x 8.9²

= 71.29 J

Rotational kinetic energy = 1/2 Iω²

= 1/2 mR²x ω²

= 1/2 mv²

= 71.29 J

Total kinetic energy

= 2 x 71.29

= 142.58 J

This energy will be used to attain height

If h be the height attained

mgh = 142.58

h = 142.58 / mg

= 142.58 / 1.8 x 9.8

= 8.08 m .

1. A car with a mass of 1,500 kilograms is moving around a circular curve at a uniform velocity of 16 m/s. The curve has a radiu
svet-max [94.6K]

<u>Answers</u>

1)  3,840 N

2) 80 m

<u>Explanations</u>

Centripetal force is the force that maintenance objects that are moving in a circular motion.

F = mv²/r

  = (1500 × 16²)/100

   = (1500×256)/100

     = 384000/100

     = 3,840 N

2) F = (mv²)/r

       6000 N = (1200 × 20²)/r

r = (1200 × 400)/6000

   = 480,000/6000

     = 80 m
