Solution, 30\%\:\mathrm{of}\:150:\quad 45

Steps:

\mathrm{Convert\:}30\%\mathrm{\:into\:a\:decimal\:and\:multiply\:by\:}150, \mathrm{Percent} =30\%\:

\mathrm{In\:order\:to\:convert\:a\:percent\:to\:a\:ratio,\:divide\:it\:by\:100}:\quad \:a\%=\frac{a}{100},  a=30, 30\%\:=\frac{30}{100}

\mathrm{Convert\:to\:decimal\:form}, =0.3

\mathrm{Multiply\:}0.3\mathrm{\:by\:}150, =0.3\cdot \:150

\mathrm{Simplify}\:0.3\cdot \:150, =45

Hope This Helps!!!

The easiest way to find percentages of numbers is to change the percentage to a decimal and multiply it by the number.

30%=0.3

150*0.3=45

30% of 150 is 45.

I hope this helps :)

What is the scale factor from figure A to figure B?
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

Figure A sides are 1/4 the size of Figure B

The top of Figure A = 4, the top of Figure B = 1.

Divide 1 by 4 to get the scale factor, which is 1/4 as a fraction or 0.25 as a decimal.

Solve x
d1i1m1o1n [39]

Step-by-step explanation:

x^{2} - 4x - 7 = 0

First, let's move the 7 to the right-hand side so we can determine what constant we'll need on the left-hand side to complete the square:

x^{2} - 4x = 7

From here, since the coefficient of the x term is -4, we know the square will be (x - 2) (since -2 it's half of -4).

To complete this square, we will need to add (-2)^{2} to both sides of the equation:

x^{2} - 4x + (-2)^2 = 7 + ^{-2}

x^{2} - 4x + 4 = 7 + 4

(x - 2)^{2} = 11

Now we can take the square root of both sides to figure out the solutions to x:

x - 2 = \pm \sqrt{11}

x = 2 \pm \sqrt{11}

The radius of a circle is (7x+3)cm. Write an expression to represent the area of the circle in simplified form
zepelin [54]

Answer:

A = π(7x + 3)² cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

A = πr² is the appropriate equation.  If r = 7x + 3 cm, then the area of this particular circle is:

A = π(7x + 3)² cm²
