Epic writers seek inspiration by invoking their muse. Famous writers make an invocation to the goddesses of literature, arts and science in Greek mythology because they believe that these goddesses is the source of knowledge in these ancient cultures to produce historic and legendary works. Meanwhile, in current English, muse are now use in general to describe a person who gives inspiration to a writer, musician or artist.

polet [3.4K]

Answer:

Thomas Paine (1737-1809) was an American political activist, theorist, and a philosopher. Paine is the author of the famous pamphlets, including "The Age of Reason", "Rights of Man" (defending the French Revolution), and "Common Sense" (written during the American Revolution). Paine is believed to have inspired the patriots, his intended audience, to become independent from Great Britain in 1776. His writing style is often characterized by arrogance, as in pamphlet series An American Crisis.

Anne Bradstreet (1612 - 1672) was a poet and the first woman in America to write a book of poems. When she began writing, her poems were meant to educate her children about the hardships she went through. Her husband and children were her only audience, but she gradually became popular in her society. She wrote warm, love poems for her husband and children, but also religious poems. In some of her works, we can clearly notice her sarcastic tone towards the society and its norms.

please hellĺllllllp me with the diary where you express your frustration for not being able to communicate with your father
ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

Diary entry about frustrations of not being able to communicate with my father.

Explanation:

25 June, 2021

Friday

Dear Diary,

Yesterday, I went to visit some friends and had a great time. They were talking about how they had a family picnic and enjoyed themselves. But when it comes to me, I am left with no stories to tell.

This was because my father is out of state and unable to come home. The pandemic has left us separated, and that has been a huge blow to our holiday plans. Added to that, daddy's area has bad reception which leads to another frustration altogether. My only hope is that I want my dad to get home as soon as possible.

Praying for his safety and health.

Goodnight.

Love,

Sandy

What is the theme of Ovid’s “The Story of Daedalus and lcarus?”
PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

Ovid's story shows that pride and overconfidence is a flimsy shield and could result in very large consequence. In the story, Daedalus is filled with pride when he created the wings for him and his son, but the pride met its tragic demise once he found his son dead from flying too high.
