Humans are blessed with five sensory organs such as eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin which are influenced by the change in the environment.
Sensation refers to sensing the outer environment with the help of the sensory organs in the form of touch, smell, sound, taste and sight. According to the environmental conditions, the sensory organs act and send the message to the brain which is then interpreted. For example, change in the environmental temperature such as hot or cold is sensed by the skin and interpreted by the brain.
