Your answer is D because $25 is a fixed one-time cost, and then you pay $4 every time you visit (x is the amount of times you visit). Your monthly total is $53, and 25 + 4x = 53 sums it up exactly.

Which is a correct comparison of the fractions? 4/5 and 5/6 A.4/5<5/6 B. 4/5=5/6 C. 4/5>5/6
Masteriza [31]

Hello!

Firstly, we can find the values of the two given fractions, 4/5 and 5/6.

4/5 is equivalent to 0.80

5/6 is equivalent to 0.833...

Choice A, 4/5 < 5/6 is correct. 4/5 is less than 5/6.

Choice B, 4/5 = 5/6 is incorrect, they are not equal to each other.

Choice C, 4/5 > 5/6 is also incorrect, 4/5 is NOT greater than 5/6. It's less than 5/6.

Fred wants to put a carpet in this room. The carpet costs $15.00 a square yard, how much would it cost for a 3 ft by 6 feet by 9
Minchanka [31]

Solution :

Cost of carpeting per square yard = $ 15.00

<u>For 3 ft by 6 ft</u>

1 yard = 3 feet

∴ 1 feet =  $\frac{1}{3}$ yard

So,

Therefore, area of 3 ft by 6 ft is = $3 \times \frac{1}{3} \times 6 \times \frac{1}{3} $

                                                    = 1 x 2

                                                    = 2 square yard

Therefore, cost of carpeting 2 square yard = 2 x 15

                                                                       = $ 30

<u>For 9 ft by 12 ft</u>

1 yard = 3 feet

∴ 1 feet =  $\frac{1}{3}$ yard

So,

Therefore, area of 9 ft by 12 ft is = $9 \times \frac{1}{3} \times 12 \times \frac{1}{3} $

                                                    = 3 x 4

                                                    = 12 square yard

Therefore, cost of carpeting 2 square yard = 12 x 15

                                                                       = $ 180

Gelneren [198K]

The amount of gas in her tank after 8 days given the linear equation g = 213 - 1.6d is 200.2 gallons of gas

<h3>Linear equation</h3><h3 />
  • Gallons of gas used per day = 1.6 gallons
  • Number of days = d
  • Quantity of gas = g

The equation

g = 213 - 1.6d

Gas remaining after 8 days

g = 213 - 1.6(8)

= 213 - 12.8

g = 200.2 gallons of gas
