Answer:

The ecosystem around the corn will change

Explanation:

The corn got genetically engineered and thus it is able to produce its toxin which protects corn plan against the pest. This means the pest would not be able to get their food/nutrition from corn and thus the following events may occur in the ecosystem -

a) The pests may  start dying

b) The pest may start feeding on some other plant

c) The pest may evolve and again start feeding on the corn plant but this will happen after a long period of time.

Now, once the pest adopts to any of the three possible events as described above , there are high chances that this will impact the ecosystem and all its depended elements adversely.

The environment wouldn’t get nutrients because bees and other pollinators would notice that the corn isn’t useful and/or is harmful to them.

If one strand of DNA is CAGGTTACG, the opposite strand is
aliina [53]

The correct answer is a - GTCCAATGC

According to base pairing rules, in DNA G will always pair with C and A will always pair with T.

These letters represent nucleotides. Nucleotides are the building blocks of nucleic acids namely DNA and RNA.

A denotes the nucleotide called Adenine

C denotes the nucleotide called Cytosine

G denotes the nucleotide called  Guanine

T denotes the nucleotide called Thymine.

In RNA, there is slight difference in base pairing. Since RNA never has Thymine in its structure, the thymine has been replaced with Uracil.  Therefore in RNA,  Adenine will pair with Uracil.

Which is true of genes found on chromosomes?
PSYCHO15rus [73]
The option that is true of genes found on chromosomes is that D. they determine the inherited traits of an organism.
Genes are inherited - so those are the things that we get from our parents and other ancestors. It is easy to determine which of these genes a child is going to inherit - the doctors just need to take a look at the chromosomes, because genes are located there.

If the food is limited to the squirrels then that could impact how well they reproduce which could impact their numbers which therefore could impact the food source for the foxes which eat them. Fewer squirrels means the foxes will slow down on their reproductive numbers as well...they are all linked!
