Since the question has pressure, temperature, and volume as variables, in order to arrive at an answer the combined gas law will be needed to arrive at an answer. The Combined Gas Law is a combination of Boyle's Law (pressure and volume are inversely proportional when temperature is constant) and Charle's Law (volume and temperature are proportional when pressure is constant) and is used when neither volume, pressure nor temperature is constant.

Combine Gas Law Equation:   P₁V₁ ÷ T₁   =    P₂V₂ ÷ T₂

The following values are what is known from the question:
the initial pressure (P₁) = 1 atm; the final pressure (P₂) is 0.5 atm,
the initial volume (V₁) = 300 mL or 0.3 L; the final volume (V₂) = 1 L
the initial temperature (T₁) = 27 °C
then we can substitute these into the equation to find the final temperature (T₂).

                                                     P₁V₁ ÷ T₁   =    P₂V₂ ÷ T₂

∴ by substituting the known values,

                              ⇒       (1 atm) (0.3 L )  ÷ (27 °C) =  (0.5 atm)(1 L) ÷ T₂
                              ⇒            T₂   = [ (0.5 atm) (1 L) (27 °C)  ] ÷ (1 atm) (0.3 L )

                              ⇒             T₂  =  [13.5 atm · L · °C] ÷ [0.3 atm · L]

                              ⇒             T₂  = 45 °C

        Thus the new temperature of the gas is 45 °C.

The energy produced when nucleons fuse together is called the: Select the correct answer below:
STatiana [176]

Answer:

Option C (nuclear binding energy) is the appropriate choice.

Explanation:

  • At either the nuclear scale, the nuclear binding energy seems to be the energy needed to remove and replace a structure of the atom itself into the characterize elements (to counteract the intense nuclear arsenal).
  • Nuclear warheads (bargaining power) bind everything together neutrons as well as protons within an elementary particle.

Some other options in question aren't relevant to the particular instance. So that the option preceding will also be the right one.

Why do solids not mix well, but gases and liquids mix easily in most cases.
AnnZ [28]
Well, because solids are..solid. When you mix things together like to make a cake, the ingredients are either very small solids that dissolve or liquids.

If the ph of a 1.00-in. rainfall over 1400 miles2 is 3.70, how many kilograms of sulfuric acid, h2so4, are present, assuming tha
Natali5045456 [20]

At pH 3.70, H2SO4 can be regarded as being fully dissociated. The dissociation reaction is
H₂SO₄(l) --> 2H⁺(aq) + SO₄²⁻(aq)
Since pH = -log₁₀[H⁺]
[H⁺] = 10^{-pH}
= 10^{-3.7}
[H⁺] = 2 x 10⁻⁴ M
Since there are 2 moles of H⁺ for every mole of H₂SO₄
[H₂SO₄] = 0.5 * [H⁺]
=0.5 * 2 x 10⁻⁴ M
[H₂SO₄] = 1 x 10⁻⁴ M
Convert the amount of rain and the area into SI units
Rain = 1.00 in * 0.0254 m/in
Rain = 0.0254 m
Area = 1600 miles² * 2589988.11 m²/miles²    = 4.661 x 10⁹  m²

Calculate the volume of water

Volume = Rain * Area
=0.0254 m * 4.661 x 10⁹
Volume = 1.184 x 10⁸ m³

Calculate the number of kilo moles of H₂SO₄

kilo moles H₂SO₄ = [H₂SO₄] * Volume
=1.0 x 10⁻⁴ M * 1.184 x 10⁸ m³
kilo moles H₂SO₄ = 11,839 k mole

Calculate the mass of H₂SO₄

mass H₂SO₄ = kilo moles H₂SO₄ * MW H₂SO₄
= 11839 k mol * 98.07848 kg/kmol
mass H₂SO₄ = 1.16 x 10⁶ kg H₂SO₄
