Answer:

B  \frac{b-10}{b-1}

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to get the same denominator, we need to multiply the second fraction by (b+2) in the numerator and denominator.

We will end up in something like this :\frac{b^{2} - 2b - 8 -6(b+2) }{(b-1)(b+2)}

I just timed the second fraction by b+ 2 and then i added them together.

Therefore, we will get \frac{b^{2} - 8b - 20}{(b-1)(b-2)}

now factoring the numerator we will end like this

\frac{(b-10)(b+2)}{(b-1)(b+2)}

we will then end up with the answer.

Hope this helps.

MA_775_DIABLO [31]
She need 432 tiles because 6 feet is 72 inches and 8 feet equals 96 inches so we divide 72 by 4 to get 18 and 96 by 4 to get 24 the since there are 18 rows of ties with each row containing 24 tiles we multiply 24 by 18 and get 432 which means she will need 432 4 inch tiles. i really hope this helps.

A rectangle has a length of 16
valentina_108 [34]

Answer:

9 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Let;

L = Length; W= Width

So:

L_1=16in; W_1 = 6in

L_2 = 24

Required

Determine W_2

To do this, we make use of the following equivalent ratios

L_1 : W_1 = L_2:W_2

This gives

16 : 6= 24:W_2

Express as fraction

\frac{6}{16}= \frac{W_2}{24}

Multiply by 24

W_2 = 24 * \frac{6}{16}

W_2 = 9

_____
When solving inequalities, the rules of equality hold, except when multiplying or dividing by a negative number (and when applying certain functions). In those cases, the direction of the inequality must be reversed. As a simple example, consider the inequality

When this is multiplied by -1, you get
