One of the many reasons why people trade with each other is the case the trading goods not being good enough for trade or people lying about it. Back in the 19th century, people would trade goods all of the time and some people would lie about it to the state government to get the other person hung.

Countries trade with each other when, on their own, they do not have the resources, or capacity to satisfy their own needs and wants. By developing and exploiting their domestic scarce resources, countries can produce a surplus, and trade this for the resources they need.
